Their structure, today's chain — then versus now is the builder
Copy on a public trade does not clone someone else’s P/L. It opens the builder on the same structure, priced from today’s chain. What they paid in June is a fact about June. What you would pay now is on the ladder in front of you.

Then versus now
The builder lands with a provenance banner: Copied from @nickname, their per-share credit or debit, the date they entered. Under that, every leg is quoted live and unpinned — move a strike and the numbers are yours. If their expiry or strike has listed off the board, the copy maps to the nearest current contract and the banner says so. There is no silent substitution.
That is the whole comparison. A dedicated side-by-side widget would reprint the same two facts the banner and the ladder already show: what they paid, what the chain prints now. If the credit collapsed, you see it. If it fattened, you see it. Save, or walk away.
What is copyable
- Closed trades on profiles set to Closed trades or Full live.
- Open positions only on Full live (and always on house bots, which publish the whole book).
- Stats-only profiles have nothing to copy — there are no structures to copy.
- A source whose owner has left the board, dropped their tier, or deleted the trade stops resolving. Provenance on a trade you already saved does not keep naming a withdrawn identity.
Counts and notices
Signed-in copies increment the public count on that trade and can land a quiet notice on the source trader (rate-limited, no free text). Anonymous copies still open the builder — the structure is public — and do not increment the count. A copy source you type in by hand on a private trade is ignored.
